Mala'a 1st birthday in California

We headed to California when Mala was 11 months old for 6 weeks before going to India to spend time with all the friends and family. On June 11th he took his first step and on June 13th he took 4 steps in a row after that he just got better and better. He is a very focused and ambitious boy, he pretty much spent every waking moment practicing walking and ended up with many bruises on his forhead.... full speed ahead! We gave him the 70's action star name BRONXE BRUISER lol. On June 20th he had his one year birthday in Nevada City which both the grammy's we're present for. It was a very special weekend with all our best buddy's. We had big meals together, river trips, finger painting and yummy raw fruit pies. It couldn't have been a more amazing solstice weekend and we look forward to many more like it.

10 months

Now at a whopping 26 pounds and 8 teeth in his big cheeky smile Mala is a man on the move. He started crawling at about 6 1/2 months old, right when we got back to Bali from California. Now he loves to pull himself to standing on everything and can even walk along whatever he's holding onto. He still loves putting everything in his mouth which is kinda a problem as I'm sure you can imagine but is getting more skilled at feeding himself also. He also enjoys boobs, boobs and long walks on the beach.

We are coming back to California for his first birthday and then off on our big India adventure for the next phase of his and our evolution........and stuff and things forever more.........boobs

Sunrise on Mt. Batur

Mala's first big hike up Mt. Batur which is an active volcano on Bali. It was a long hike and Mala did very good, only a little fussing. He loved the mountain air and hanging with his aunties and uncles frolicking in the magic of it all. It was an amazing day and we look forward to many more hikes........p.s.. big ups to papa Ben for carrying him the whole way!!!!

Komang and Ibu Diah

Our lovely helpers Komang and Diah and also Nilou are the best ever!!! They love mala so much and have made our lives smooth as butter the last 5 months. x Love and gratitude for these angels x

Mala is having so much fun learning and growing. Everyday is a new adventure as parents, hard at times but always very rewarding. Mala teaches us to be strong, patient and filled with endless unconditional love.

Our little angel is now 7 1/2 months and happier than ever!!! He started crawling a few weeks ago....he's a man on the go!

Food???? what's that?

It's squishy, it's wierd, it's yummy?.......FOOD Mala has started eating now, he's not totally sure about the whole thing but he likes it sometimes. He has sprouted his two top at 6 1/2 months, now a grand total of 4 teeth.
